Happy, Healthy Cat Month starts today, September 1st! Kitties truly brighten up our lives with their cute faces, silly antics, and charming vocalizations. It’s no wonder that Fluffy is such a popular pet! Read on as a local Norwalk, CA vet lists some fun ways to celebrate this momentous occasion with your feline buddy.
You can’t properly celebrate any kitty holiday without catnip. Give Fluffy some of her favorite plant!
Toys are very important for Fluffy. It’s good for your furball to unleash her inner lion sometimes. Make sure that your feline pal has plenty of catnip mice to push under the couch!
Toys are great, but Fluffy also loves having a playmate. Try to make a habit of playing with your furry friend every day. Even a few minutes of pouncing and jumping will benefit your pet. (Plus, it’s always cute seeing kitties hard at play.)
Cats are nothing if not photogenic. We just never get tired of seeing pictures of these quirky, charismatic little furballs. Snap some cute photos of Fluffy just being herself!
Fluffy doesn’t have any reservations about borrowing our things, but she does appreciate having a few pieces that suit her specific needs. A new bed is always a safe bet. Your kitty may also appreciate a cat tower, pet tent, or window seat.
This one probably won’t make Fluffy particularly happy, but it will help keep her healthy. Make an appointment for your furry buddy!
Kitties may be a bit finicky, but most of them do have a few special snacks that they like to enjoy. Fluffy may appreciate a can of plain tuna in water, or perhaps some cooked, plain fish or poultry, without the skin, bones or fat. Store-bought treats are okay, too, as long as you don’t overdo it.
Who says cats are hard to please? Fluffy may be purrfectly thrilled with a cardboard box. If you want to go all-out, build her a box castle. This is a great project for kids!
Our feline friends are all unique, and some are just cuddlier than others are. Regardless of how aloof or affectionate Fluffy is, pay some attention to her, and make sure she feels loved.
