Rude Things Your Cat Will Do This Year
January 3, 2022
Happy New Year! It’s probably safe to say that we’ll be seeing lots of predictions for 2022 this week. In general, we’re more than happy to let others write about what the next 12 months may bring. However, we do have a pretty good idea of what our patients will be doing. Fluffy may spend more time being naughty than nice! Read on as a Norwalk, CA vet lists some rather impolite things your furry little diva will probably do this year.

Ignore You

At some point, you’ll call Fluffy, but she won’t come. Don’t be surprised if you find her nearby, awake and aware and, yes, ignoring you. Studies have actually shown that our feline overlords sometimes do deliberately ignore their humans. How rude!

Knock Something Over

No one is quite sure why Fluffy can’t resist smacking things like pens and glasses onto the floor. However, it’s probably safe to say that this will happen at least once this year.

Cattitude

Our feline friends are adorable, but they can also be pretty melodramatic. Fluffy will probably have a few kitty temper tantrums this year. Perhaps you’ll move her mid-nap, or make the grievous mistake of refusing to let her get on the table. Your pet may also be less than thrilled about being put in her carrier and driven over to see us. Our forecast? Some irritated meows of rage, a few paw swipes, and maybe a light chomp.

Unauthorized Napping

In addition to sleeping as much as possible, your furball will strive to try as many new napping spots as she can this year. Inevitably, you’ll find Fluffy snoozing on something that is definitely not supposed to be a kitty bed.

Computer Hack

Fluffy loves to seek out warm spots for lounging. She’s also quite determined to take over the internet. (Judging by the never-ending flow of cat photos and videos on the web, she’s doing a pretty good job.) Mix these two things together, and you get a furball snoozing on your computer.

Uncooperative Snuggles

Cats approach cuddling as they do everything else: it must always be done on their terms. Fluffy may refuse to stay on your lap when you’re relaxing, only to demand attention when you’re in the middle of something. As your Norwalk, CA veterinary clinic, we are dedicated to offering great care. Call us anytime!
